Get a small one with a paper element like you would find at Walmart or a hardware store for small engines. They are generally clear and cheap.Get a couple so you can catch most of that crap out of your tank.

Just playing devil's advocate here guys...but don't you think that if our bikes needed a fuel filter, Honda would have designed the bike with one?

Maybe the gummy crap in the petcock and carbs is old degraded fuel. If that's the case, a fuel filter wouldn't help. I don't know...just throwing out ideas.

My '96 600F3 has one. It's readily available from any Honda dealer and runs under $20. If you have an F2, it doesn't have one, but you can add this one. If you have an F3, you already have one, but should replace it.

The F2 has one as well.Remove the petcock and look.A lot of people remove these and replace with an inline filter.

Just trying to save Frank a few bucks. They are a little over a dollar and you can see through them. This helps me see if not only its dirty but if Im getting fuel.
