Hi every one,
Just finished running in my new 2005 CBR1000RR - had to trade in my 97 CBR600 and my next 4 years pay rise to get it!! (worth every penny - I LOVE it). Put it in for it's first service, got it back and the heavens opened and haven't stopped since! - don't get me wrong, I don't mind a bit of rain - but misty visor and pea soup fog on the Mountain is not my idea of fun!
Had a great time running it in round the TT course - no speed limits!! and can't wait for it to stop chucking it down!

You ought to try the Scorpion helmet for the misty visor...anti fogging visor. Check it out below.

Hello and welcome to the boards. As soon as the weather clears up, post up some pics of the bike and the course. So you actually race on the Isle? Thats sweet.

Thanks for your message, I'm assuming you ask if I race because I mentioned running my bike in around the TT course. I don't know how much you know about the TT in the Isle of Man, so if I sound patronising - I don't mean to!
The TT course is 37 3/4 miles of public highway that are closed to road users during the races and open again to the public when each race has finished. The TT fortnight usually covers the last week of May and the first week of June - the first week is practice week and the second is race week. The sunday between these two weeks is known as Mad Sunday, and they make the mountain part of the course one way - every one goes out on Mad Sunday and it really is MAD!!
There is no national speed limit on the island, so when you get out of the speed zones, you can go as fast as you like - legally!
I would love to race - if I was 16 again with rich parents! the only racing I get to do is when someone else out for a ride wants to play!

Thanks for the info. No speed limit???? Wow. I knew alittle bit about the races from watching them on TV. It sounds like a blast to ride the course. I didn't know it was ever open to the public. That rocks. Please make sure to get some good pics of the races this year.
