can anybnody help me i have a 1990 cbr600fi just bought it.the battery keeps going down after an hour or so of riding.i checked the stator theat seems fine.all the wires to and from the reg/rect.seem fine.i tried changing the voltage reg.with a used one from another bike and it sent almost 20 volts back to the battery.put the old voltage reg.back on same thing all im getting is 12.2 volts at the battery.also blew the headlight but with the headlight off or the fuse removed there is correct voltage at the battery.any help would be appreciated

recommend getting the clymes manual. they have very detailed descriptions and pictures for testing everything on this bike.
