Hey guys I was looking for a stand to get on E-bay so that I can do some maintainance on my CBR, and found these two jacks:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Motorcycle-ATV-Hydraulic-Floor-Jack-Lift_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ63697QQitemZ4632061010QQrdZ1
eBay Motors: New Motorcycle ATV Hydraulic Floor Jack Lift (item 4632061010 end time Apr-23-06 17:54:55 PDT)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1500-LB-ATV-MOTORCYCLE-JACK-LIFT-HOIST-STAND-FREE-S-H_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ63697QQitemZ4632814957QQrdZ1
eBay Motors: 1500 LB ATV / MOTORCYCLE JACK LIFT HOIST STAND FREE S&H (item 4632814957 end time Apr-25-06 13:27:00 PDT)

Any feedback, what do you guys think, will these jacks fork for our CBR F4I with farings on them? Or should I just go with stands?
Thanks

Definately get the stands...the jacks are designed for full framed bikes like cruisers. You'd be jacking up the bike on the oil pan or tranny. I have a set of Pit bull stands, front and rear and they are great. My front stand uses the bottom of the triple tree to lift the front end, not the bottom of the fork legs, so that way I can do maintenance on the forks or remove them alotgether while on the stand.

Go with the stands.Personally I would get the front stand that picks up on the bottom of the steering neck. That is alot easier to get the front wheel off with.

Can also use them for extended storage periods. Bike is way less precarious & vulnerable on the stands, than on the kicker.

That is VERY true

You just need to have more room for the stands though

Let me add that I bought a stand off of EBAY, it was advertised as fitting an 04F4I, it was sold buy a company called flyncycle. I got the stand in a few days and the packaging was horrible. I tried to make the stand work but it never really fit. I took the springs off and it kinda fits. The other day when I went to put my bike on the rear stand it slipped and scratched my swing arm! That's what I get for buying a 50 dollar swing arm!
