Hobicus, Thanks for the wiring diagram! I was riding home last night and it did it again (I did NOT have the problem on the 30 mile ride to work in the AM). In fact was almost home running 70mph trying not to get run over by the semis and the speedo and tach. went to 0, though the bike seemed to run ok. I took off the w/shield, and the 2 inner faircovers on both sides of the dash to check for loose/kinked wires, but could not find any. I thought maybe my bar risers could have something to do with putting too much strain, on the wiring so lowered them a bit. (Then I tried to start the bike and it would not turn over all the way, like a dead battery. Man, I'm blessed not have been stuck at work on a Friday afternoon so far from home.) Ah, now we're getting somewhere, I hoped. I took the battery to local Honda dealer and they load tested it and it failed. I purchased a new fresh identical Yuasa and installed it. The bike fired up great-all electrical seems to work ok, but the true test will be another 60 miles home to work round trip on the freeway. I'll let you know for sure. The Honda dealer mechanic kind of scratched his head, never heard of my problem before. He did think it might have something to do with the alarm that is installed, but not actively fully connected-he said bike alrms wreak havoc on electrical systems. Thansk.
