this is probably a stupid question, but i've now convinced my wife that i "need" a 1000RR, so i'm working a local dealer now, but what is the difference between a 1000rr and a fireblade, trying to find horsepower and torque specs on the 1000rr and i see the firblade specs, are they the same?

In Europe Honda calls the CBR1000RR the Fireblade. They are the same bike except for maybe some emission add-ons that are required in Europe. Maybe someone can verify but I once heard most of the bike manufactures choose not to name their performance bikes in the US for insurance reasons. Other then the Ninja I don’t of any other sport bike that has a proper name.

I always heard that our bikes (CBR1000rr) is named Fireblade but as you mentioned the name is not listed on the title.

To add on to what everyone else said which are valid points. The Fireblades are normally different color scheme's than U.S. bikes. I have been trying to get my hands on some Fireblade bodywork. Just to have a different bike here in the U.S. But overall they are the same bikes just different names.
