I've finally got my bike together. 94 bike, with 96 engine, 99 wiring harness, 97 plastics. My final part that I need is the shifter linkage or left rearset. I found one for a 96 but after months of waiting for it, it was shipped to the wrong address. I guess I could go buy one from the dealer but would like to know if a 99 would work. That is the only one that I can find used. Does anybody know if it would work? Does anybody have a 96-97 for sale? I'll even settle for the 93-94 linkage and go with racing shift pattern. I just want to ride my bike.

I'm 99% sure they're all the same. Even if they aren't quite the same, they'll be interchangeable since there's so much room for adjustment with how the gearshift arm is set on the transmission shift axle. I've got a 929 gearshift arm on my bike so that I could flip the linkage over and go with an inverted/GP shift pattern. It's WAY larger than the stock arm, and it worked for me with no problem. I was going to go put my stock gearshift arm up on ebay, unless you want it for $10 + shipping. And I have no idea what shipping will be. Couple bucks probably.
