I just bought the 05 1000rr black and silver, and even though I have only ridden it twice, I love it so far. Its hard for me to give first impressions because the only other bike I had was a 98 cbr 600f3 and that was a year and a half ago, so I am taking it slow and getting into the swing of riding again. anways here are the few simple things I plan on doing to my bike and would appreciate and tips on where and how to accomplish this cause for the most part im lost. 1. flush mounted blinkers, front and rear. Any tips on which ones are best for this bike would be great. 2. fender eliminator kit. Best one to get, where and tips on installation? 3. Remove all honda decals so bike is completely black. 4. Custom paint job on the gas tank, my friend owns a shop where they specialize in custom paint jobs for bikes so im gonna put something real nice on there as soon as I figure out what I want. Ill post before and after pics of the bike so you all can see the progress.

damn that flat black looks way nice! How do you get the decals off with damaging anything?

Mods sorta' depend on the type of riding you do (or don't do). My first mods were swing arm spools; next up was (I know this sounds like something for the VFR crowd) a Throttlemeister:

Saves wrist ache in a huge way if you do a tonne of miles (I'm doing about 12,000-15,000 per/annum). High quality stuff.

I went with a Puig double bubble windscreen:

Also from Indy came a set of these little jewels - mechanical art:

Next up were these lovely bobbles:

I've had Kyle preload adjusters on my last five bikes. They simply are the best! He's also great to deal with.

All of these, barring the preload adjusters are for comfort at supra-legal speeds/long distance travel.

The PCIII is on its way as well as the zorst. But those are more for poseur points than practicallity.

Good luck hunting.

Cheers
