I just adjusted mine by winding up both the front and rear preloads and then front and back compression and rebounding dampening. Generally I set everything (in one shot) to 50% between the normally settings and the hardest setting.
Man after that...the bike felt 100% better. Razor sharp and more stable. I am 5"10 and weigh 175lbs..and for me the bike feels waaaay better.

if i understand you correctly-on comp- you went in to stiffen up/ on rebound did you turn out to speed up or in to slow? on the preloads you went all the way out on the preloads? thanks-phil

Simple really...
Set the 1G (Sag with rider) to 40mm front and 34mm rear. Swingarm should be pretty much all the way back in the adjusters. Set the swingarm angle to about 14deg, rear shock length should be about 313 - 315. Front should be up about 6.5mm
at 70kg, if you are a decent rider, and run the stock showa fork bits, spring rates would end up around .85km, and rear spring rate is about 8.3.
you of course need to run an ohlins rear to make this work, and I like either the Ohlins of K-tech front kit, the 20mm is way more than pretty much anyone here needs....
This set up is also for the 06, or the 04/05 with the HRC link.
