I CALL BULLSHIT ON THE 10.4 @140 lol... Ive ran my bike a few times at the track stock, WITH 208'S and best ive pulled was an 11.4.... 10.4 was at sealevel, and a level track. Our track here is uphill and sucks lol...

in motor cyclist magazine, during a test in '03 (so of course, an 03 600 rr) they ran a **corrected quarter mile of 10.94 @ 127.1 I just found this one too... in the May edition of cycle world, the results of their 600 shootout read : 10.426 seconds @ 129.75 on the 2005 CBR 600 RR. ***BUT... THEY HAD RICKEY GADSON BEHIND THE THROTTLE... so basically... thats as fast as you can go OneWheelin... whats the deal? you dont gotta stomp on the guy for trying to help... he said what he thought was true, and then stated not to hold him to it... as he didnt know for sure... and just because you cant do it, doesnt mean it cant be done.... take it easy all, Chris

Hey!!! I hit a true 159mph today!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee.....I'm still gonna see if it's true that it can get up to 168...I know sooner or later I'm gonna get this thing up to the max! It's amazing how sturdy it handles at speeds like that. If I can recall, my '02 f4i was a bit shaky after about 109mph

I just picked up a copy of Sport Bike (by Cycle World) and they posted the 1/4 mile time for the '05 600RR as: 10.90 @ 127.53mph and a top speed of 163mph.

Cycle world is not the "bible" and final say on a bikes performance! I've been told by many sources in the Honda industry that it can do a "true" 165 mph and has been known to get up to 172 if pushed long enoughand tweaked right enough!

I live in sonoma county, CA and its all windy hill roads and shit, and it also is coastline all up hwy 1 and 101. Sears Point Raceway is where I have always gone, and it is seriously AT sea level basically. I think elevation is 20 feet. I have seen some crazy fast 1/4 mile times pulled. I will be sure to take my bike out and run it. Hardest shit is getting a really good launch and for me 3rd gear shift is hard to get consistant because of how tall i am when i am in tuck position it is awkward as hell to shift. I barely slip my two fingers and blip back throttle a tiny bit on shift for revmatch. If i dont revmatch perfect and go for more pin, it lifts on the shift. I would be glad to pull 11s, 10s would be ****in sick. The other day I raced a modded 05 R1 and 1st and second were really close, I was amazed that the lil 600 was doing so well. I got dusted in 3rd tho. The top end power on that thing is like 180+. shit hauls. I am very happy with the performance of this 600, great all around bike other than creature comfort, but my car has race suspension so im used to a stiff ride. My lil bros hatchback would pull a 14 flat all day with intake and exhaust with h22 engine and ACT stage 3 clutch. Car was ****in fast all motor. The fact that these will dust that by 3 seconds means you are runnin ****in fast outta the factory. Mainly, the bike will do whatever the rider can push it to do. work on your riding, you will pull better times. I gotta figure a good launch rev and slip it. Any aftermarket clutches available yet?
