I was looking at this stoppie and i'm trying to figure out what went wrong? Is it something he did? Is it equipment failure? Could he have prevented it?

stoppie gone bad

Yeah, his front wheel caught traction on the pavement at the same time that the brakes locked up. He could've prevented it by not being a retard and doing a 50 mph stoppie...or any stoppie at all for that matter. Tough on forks and swingarm when it comes back down again.

now I know i've heard that you should have atleast some speed going when your doing stoppies as opposed to just doing them while almost stopped liek at a light. I havent really screwed around with them b/c i cant afford to wreck the bike again.

Im not tryin to be rude, but what the hell is that supposed to mean, your front wheel has traction throughout the entire stoppie, thats why it raises the back tire off the ground, the only way that could have happened is if his front tire locked up or he crammed the brake because he got scarred and thought that it would bring it back down like the rear brake would with a wheelie, or something of that sort.

If you listen to the vidoe, that loud squeking noise is coming from the Yamaha. You can tell because it stops when the guy flips over and the other guy on the red bike is still in a stoppie
Also it is better to do stoppies at 30-50mph.

He just locked the brakes -- that's all.

It means, that when the brakes locked up, his front tire grabbed the pavement instead of sliding, hence the rapid flip over. Besides, aren't you the one who was street stunting with your wheel up and then you almost lost it and did a stoppie right into an on coming car?

Your front tire doesnt slide at any point in time when you are in a stoppie. If it does then the tire comes out from under you and cocks sideways, but it didnt do that in the video, you never see the front tire go sideways in all of the footage that was shot of it, There was either a malfunction or the guy crammed the brake while already up in the stoppie and the tire locked up

I am the street stunter you are talkin about but I didnt do a wheelie and almost lose it, you need to get your facts right. If you would have read the post correctly, I did the wheelie just fine and set it down perfectly, A guy in a mustang pulled out in front of me after I was already done doing the wheelie and slowing down. The bike came up into an endo because I had to cram the brakes that hard to keep from hitting the mustang.

Do some research before you post buddy
Your just trying to pick a fight because I called out your messed up post

With me doing street stunting, and having the experience of it, you should probably just agree with me man, if you dont do any of that kind of stuff than how can you post an opinion against me. Besides in the last post I put, I also said to listen to the video because you hear the very loud squeak coming from the blue bike and a loud pop or snap right before he flipped over.

Yo man, I didn't say the tire slid. It also didn't roll any either. The brakes locked, the tire grabbed and over he went. He was also too damn stiff on the bike and his weight abruptly transferred to the front, thus flipping it.
You did indeed loose it. You did the wheelie just fine, on the road which is a really good idea, and then the shit hit the fan and you did a stoppie. Anytime you do a stoppie, tire slide etc, you're not in control any more. I think you need to learn riding skills instead of doing stupid ass stunting shit. Good riding is more impressive than stunting.
