06 1000RR will the HUGE rear flap simply unbolt for the fender eliminator or am i going to have to cut it up???

Everything on that bike unbolts. No cutting required. In your case I think the best thing to do first would be to spend some money on the 06 service manual. If you cant wait make sure you have a set of metric Allen wrenches and just take your time. Also depending on which fender eliminator you buy it might come with directions.

It unbolts but you need to remove the rear seat cowl to get to the bolt that hold the top section and heat shield. Then there are 2 bolts either side which can just be seen under the rear cowl and can be undone without removing the cowl .......... which still needs to come off to get to the top bolt. You see where I'm going..... remove the rear cowl, makes life easy. It is 3 pieces that interconnect, the top piece is gonna flap around without the side pieces, take the top out as well and you probably see some of the heat shield. I have ripped it all out including heat shields to replace my stock exhaust with a full Arata system. Good luck, pm me if you want some pics
