Did a good clean and lube; same thing. I double checked the sprockets again they appear fine. Ordering a chain tommorow.
Any suggestions on a chain apart from a 525 with 120 links? What is the diff between clip link and rivet link?

The clip link is dangerous. When you join the two ends of the chain, the rivets from one end fit through the sideplates from the other end. The clip link is just a spring clip that snaps onto the rivets to keep them from backing out and having your chain seperate. The rivet type is just that, the rivets from one end pass through the sideplates of the other end, except instead of a crappy clip, the rivet heads are permanently "staked" or peened to keep the rivet from backing out. I am not trying to dramatize it or anything, but if the clip pops off while your at speed, the chain is going to go soon after. It can either fly off onto the road, or it can jam up your rear wheel or front sprocket. The latter choices are why I'll never use one. Hope that helps.

Had the chain replaced and sprockets checked (fine). Problem solved.
