well i put carb cleaner in the carbs and the bike started up and ran fine, but then after a little bit i took it out, and then when i went to get on the gas it was kinda like sputtering, any one know if the carbs should be cleaned out? o and the air fiter was basically falling apart when i toomk it out and 1/4 of it was missing, so any feedback will be helpful

Sounds like your carbs sucked up some of your air filter pieces. I reccomend taking to a shop and having the carbs disassembled and cleaned.

It depends on where you take it..I believe that most shops charge about 3 hours for a complete carb cleaning..so what ever the local labor rate times 3 hours...that is what we quote and if it only takes 2 hours then that is what we charge (this is for taking the carbs out of the bike and cleaning, adjusting, and reinstalling the tank, ect...)

if your air filter is destroyed...the stuff you put in your tank may have eaten the air filter ( it is a UNI isnt it?? Sounds like a foam filter, the stock one is a paper element) But it sounds like the right track if it was running and you put that stuff in and then discovered a half eaten air filter.

Check the " throat" of the junction from the air box to the carb and see if that extra missing foam is plugging the passage..it could be strangling the air flow for that cylinder
