To cut a long story short, my CBR600RR 04 model was delivered at the end of July 04, due to a family death, the poor bike has sat idle since. I have started it and let it warm up, rotated tyres etc a few times. anyway am now ready for the british summer, is it ok to have left it this long with the same oil / petrol etc. or should I get it serviced . It basically has the original mineral oil in it as at 600 miles they change it to synthetic but this of coursa has not been done. someone mentioned that condensation would have got in and may cause damage to the internals hence an oil change. it is due of course for its first service in a couple of months so the chances of me riding it more than a couple of hundred mile between now and then is small.? any advice would be greatfuly accepted

To have peace of mind...get the bike serviced. Almost a whole year of sitting up and no riding is a problem waiting to happen. Get it serviced and you'll not have to worry about "what if".
