can that really happen though?? i mean i think you could go after someone, whether it be their insurance and go for more or their parents if they are still under theirs... i was in a BIG car accident back in december of 02, i have a rod in my right tibia with two screws, i cant breathe right anymore, and a bunch of other things... my best friend was driving and he died, obviously i didnt sue his parents, but i had to go after the insurance company.. and they didnt have enough money, so i actually ended up going after my own insurance company, because my policy was worth more... i dont know if its too late, but you should check into that. I sued my own insurance. Oddly enough its possible. good luck though!

New to the forum with an 05 F4i and 06 1KRR. Originally came for decal removal hints but am sticking around for all the other cool stuff like that reminder of the potential cost of our hobby.

Good advice .... This is why I ride with 250,000 coverage AND AAA ( in case I break down).... I'm 22 on a '90 CBR and pay only $263 a YEAR!!! That's less than I spend on tires..... you really have no excuse to ride without any coverage

Why is AAA giving yall great rates and I'm getting SCREWED? I'm 19 (20 in like 10 days) 1 ticket for failure to stop at designated point and they refuse to cover me, my only option is to pay 2600 a year to Nationwide for liability (they won't give me full coverage)

just FYI for those that live in CA and make less than $1600/mo gross income, you can apply for MSI insurance (health not bike/auto)from the state. its free for those that fit under their guidlines....but im not sure if you have to wait until you have had medical bills due or weather you can qualify prior to any hospital visit. there is also aid for low income auto insurance throught the state of cali. on another note, i got a quote from progressive, $7400/year full coverage....not sure what im going to do about it..... but its propbably a pretty accurate quote given my prior driving record, im kinda of high liability, just a little.....

FYI, those of you with "full coverage" motorcycle insurance and no work/outside health insurance can be screwed too. My State Farm full coverage for medical is $1000 then they expect your health insurance to pick up the rest if it will be covered. If you wrecked due to neglet ie wheely, drugs or alcohol use, and so on they may not cover your hospital bills.

So glad I live in Canada and the gov't pays for healthcare (sorta). If they didnt I wouldnt even begin to consider not having coverage through a third party company.
