that sucks man... does the other guy have to pay for it? is there ever a time in racing when its the other guys fault that he has to pay?

Hehe, it'd be nice if we could just get insurance on them.... Everyone gets torn up eventually. When there's a couple dozen cars going 100+ mph sideways on a 3/8 mile dirt track, something is bound to happen. Only weighing 1300lbs, its not unheard of to get upside down without ever making contact with anything.

That sucks man! I race TT on a quad (now called extreme dirt track) and the other weekend I came out of a sharp hairpin onto the front stretch and right after I caught traction and shifted to 3rd I nailed this guy, broke his swingarm ($1000). Turns out he was riding the bike because he was planning on buying it and then told the owner "I will buy it when it is fixed." This kid deserved to get taken out, he blatently spun another guy, if anyone is familiar with TT you tap the rear brakes to slide the rear end out to set up for a corner, well this guy set up for the corner and the kid just went strait for him.
