100 000 km and runs fine. It's an 1992-ish. Havn't drive the bike more than about 1000 km up to now, but it pulls fine and the oil level seems stable. Some Cam chain rattle during the first minute if it has been parked for two days. Driven every day, there is hardly any chain rattle even cold. Passed the Swedish MOT an hour ago, she will now run for two years now before next MOT.

We do miles....... and 122,000 of those. '90 model found five years ago with only 950 miles on it.

It's been maintained well but also run HARD, including track and many days of 500 miles with 350 of that just wringing it out, power band to red line. Started to show minimal oil use at 90,000 miles and could use an overhaul now, although it still runs reliably. I've got another low mileage motor that will go in and parts for an overhaul of this one. I'm keeping it for my main street ride for the foreseeable future. Best all around bike I've ever had. Cross-country cruising, then canyon riding, then track. It does all of those with sufficient performance and reliability (except cam chain tensioners) to keep a smile on your face.

I wish I realised the poll topics couldn't be edited... oh well, it seems the *vast* majority of members at this forum are American and work with miles and I feel like a fool.

Oh well... all part of the fun I suppose! I still wish your country would catch up with the rest of the world!

No need to apologize. Just think how we feel with our current president.

trust me, we feel the same about your president too up here north of the 49 ;)

My bike was bought in august, it's an 88, and I've just flicked the 40,000 km mark yesterday.. yesterday i also put a new sprockets (16T front 43 rear) and a new Bridgestone Battleaxe tire on it,, NIGHT AND DAY differance in the bike.. with the metzler and the 17 T sprocket, I'd really have to work it to pull the front end up.. now, cruist at 50 Kph, wring the throttle and tap the clutch, and she comes up.. I'm going to have to get used to this

for an older bike, I have to agree with people.. very versatile and does everything pretty well, though it isn't A+ and any of them..

the other day I was 1 car behind something like a 22004 or newer yamaha I believe, and we were both turning to go up this big long 3 lane wide hill.. he got well ahead of me before I could pass the guy in front of me.. but I caught up to him pretty damn fast

for all you track people, if you've done a 1/4 mile in your bike, what ET and MPH is it at?

If i could quit snoozing on the clock i believe i could tap an the twelves. As i sit right now ive run a best of 13.217 and a best elapsed time of 105.67. those are two sepperate runs. i also weigh 300 lbs and have factory sprockets on it. the only mod i have is the polished intake runners. also she has 32,000 loud and proud red, white, and blue miles on her. oh yea it also has a vance and hines slip-on with nothing in the can(it sounds so good).

70,035 kms

I bought the bike from a towing company with 42,000 kms about 5 years ago.

'Cept for the expected cct rattle, it's been nothing but a pleasure to ride. I've taken it down to New York State, through to Vermont and back; half of that trip was two up too.

Hope to put another 70,000 on it.

76000 miles on 1990 FL. Started at 23000 and used it as sole transportation for four years. Haven't ridden for a couple years though.
