I have a 2005 Honda CBR RR 600 and it was of course laid down. I am still learning to ride and indo'd it. No major damage, just scratches. So I take off the upper cowl and get it repaired but the thing won't start. Gas - good Air - Good Spark - Good....... I can not figure out if there is a restart for some sort of safety kill or something like that. I also checked the Kick stand wiring and ever thing looks fine. I would love any suggestions as these new FI are new to so many people I talk to. It cranks, all electric looks goods, I even get a little gas smell out of the exhaust. To new to be air filter. Hell I can not even find the spark plugs on this thing. I removed the gas tank cover only find a bunch of computers and half a tank. I am lost!!! HELP

Maybe it's the bank angle sensor from when it was dropped? Other than that, I don't know.

What is a bank angle sensor and where is it on my bike? So basically you are saying take it to the dealership? I will also start chating around to find out more about this sensor. THANKS.

how hard did you drop it? The bank angle sensor is no more than a U shaped metal conductor with a plastic washer over the lower part of the U while a metalic washer goes over the plastic washer. When you lean too far or if you drop your bike, the metalic washer goes off the plastic washer and contacts the U shaped metal and shuts off the engine. Atleast, I'm sure of this for the gixxer. Two possibilities, you dropped it hard enough where the metal wash is stuck in the sensor box so its contacted the U shaped metal piece, therefore hindering startup, or when you started to take stuff off the bike, you did not return the sensor box in its up-right position. btw, the spark plugs are in the engine, which is under the airbox. To access it, you have to take off the airbox. The half of a tank is actually a molded tank that goes down near the swing arm so it appears to only be half a tank, but does hold 4.5 gallons.

Before you go too hog with your check list, check one simple thing...the bank angle sensor like dwhite mentioned...my guess is you put it on upside down like many people do after taking apart the front fairing...there's arrows on it showing which way to mount it. quote:

Maybe it's different on an '05, but the spark plugs aren't under the airbox; however, you do have to take the radiator off the brackets and lower it to get to the plugs.
