Can the forks be installed on an F2 and if so is this a basic bolt on swap or is there is an extesive modifation required.

the forks are cosiderably more complex than an f2 but if the caliper mounting holes and fender mounting holes are in the same place I don't see any reason why they wont fit, I don't know weather the fork sliders are different or weather they will fit the tripple clamps
I've been toying with the Idea myself but haven't come across any yet to try and match up,
thats what I'm gonna do get hold of one and try & match it before buyin'

ok I'm gonna make this real simple.

Yes if you replace the entire front end. Brakes, wheel, triples, clip-ons, and steering head bearings.

You will also lose your mechanical speedo.
