Hello fellas. New to the chat and message forum here at cbrforum.

I had changed my stator because it was damaged after a fall which cracked the stator cover. In addition, my freind was riding the bike, not knowing that the oil was leaking out from the side which was ultimately damaging the stator. Nevertheless, I purchased a new stator and installed the thing, however, I forgot to tighten all four alen screws. Once I placed the oil in the bike and started the machinge, I began to here a clicking sound inside the stator cover which ultimately made the bike began to loose it's power as I turned it on and off to try and find out where the problem was. When I reopened it and discovered that one of the screws was loose and scraping against the circumference of the stator opposite encasing ( or whatever the part is called, I am knew at this). The damage was not bad, just a circle scratch. I then tightened all screws and went to start the bike and I received a subtle start crank that began to bog down until no control panel lights or anything were on. I was told to charge the battery. I charged the battery for an hour and placed the battery in the bike and it started. I let it run for about five five minutes and turned it off to assemble the side fairing. When I went to turn the bike back on, I recieved the same bogged down crank and then nothing. I was told I had to charge the battery overnight because when I intially started the bike and the stator screw was loose, it was not allowing the stator to do its job correctly and therefore was draining the battery. Why would the bike produce a start and then nothing ten minutes later. Why do I have to charge the battery for twenty four hours? Or did i damage my brand new stator and it's once again sucking the life out of the battery?
