I sure hope to get some good info. on this, so here goes! I am in the process of getting a CBR 600 RR. I went to look at them a couple of times and since i am only 5'4", I can quite touch tippie toed on both sides of the bike. I talked to a salesman and he told me that i can change the, "dogbones" on the back of the bike and lower the front shocks to make it lower and fit me better. I was also informed that it takes away from your speed in the corners. I was wondering if you pretty much need to slow way way down or is it safe to have some speed? If there are any other suggestions for me, please post them, at this point i need all the suggestions i can get, Thanks!

As long as you can hold the bike up with one leg you can ride it. I know somebody that is 5'1 and weighs 110, he ride better than most people i know on a gsx-r 750. bough the bike and enjoy...

I have a CBR1000RR and I am only 5'4" as well...I just use one leg and it works fine...and that is right about the lowering links, install them and lower the fork legs, but it will decrease your ground clearance and make it tougher to wheelie!!

I would lower it to at least flat foot one side and ball the other. My roomate just lowered his r6, and said it made his cornering worse. But he gave it time and he can still keep up with me so I think your ok to lower it. It keeps your front end DOWN!! freal. My roomate can barely clutch it up now lol... but then again he's like 2 inches off the ground. PLUS, IT GIVES YOUR BIKE A TOUGHER STANCE. But you can roll 1 footed, i know alot of ppl that do it.

dont lower your bike!! please. it rides like shit, and it looks like shit. these arent cars, they make your 600 look like a 250.

that is understandable that lowering your bike isnt a good idea... So what other things can i do to my bike that will make me sit lower to the ground without taking away the performance?

I know a place here that sells specialty items, you can pick up a pair of platforms for a cheap price... even got ones with goldfish in them... I think strippers use them? id say you can shave down your seat, but since we have no seats thats out of the question. I would just lower it... My roomates bike rides just as good as stock, and looks pimp as shit. Thats the only think I could tell you to do... and he did it so his girl could ride it since she's short as shit.
