hi, i'm new to this forum... name is jon btw.
i recently got a swing arm from a friend and i'm trying to figure out which bike its from. honestly, i don't even know if its from a CBR at all... i was hoping you cats on the forum can help out. i'm trying to get rid of a couple parts, but its no help not knowing which bike they're from...

naww... there's no numbers on the swing arm

i got another piece of the bike that might help. its a 17" black rim with polished trim 3-spoke design... no numbers on the fork, although the rim says yamaha 17XMT3.50 on it. thanks in advance

It looks like a 2002ish R1 swingarm to me. I ride with a guy that has one and it looked familiar so I pulled up the micro fiche on it. Check out this link

I just noticed your pic of the front fork... checked it too and it matches, click here.

That whould make senseon the swing arm, since that looks to be R1 forks!

you guys are correct. it is from an r1 (or so it looks to me) but are wrong on the year. the 2002 and up r1's had a black swingarm that was a totally different design than the one in the pic. the one in the pic looks identical to the one on my old 2001 r1 (which had the same swingarm as the 2000 model). here's a pic of a 2001 r1 for comparison.
