Hey guys i have a 2000 F4 and i throwing around some conversion ideas, i didn't mind the guages on the F4 but the other day i rode my buddies ZX-6r 636. and i feel in love with the digital guages and i was wondering if it is posible to convert to the F4i digital guage cluster, and if so how difficult is the project? i am very good with electrical work i just don't want to F' anything up. Also doing the rear-end conversion, so Subframe, plastic, tray,..etc to come later.

I just bought a 1999 f4 and it has the digital gauges from a f4i. The temperature guage and gas light don't work but besides that it is fine. I can get some pictures if you want. I didn't do it myself I bought it that way but I will be as much help as I can be.

My speedo is dead accurate. I believe it makes all the calcualtions for speed way before the gauges the gauges just show them. The fan still kicks on when it is hot, but the temperature gauge doe snot work it just shows --. I actually really like the gauges and the clock (I don't know if it originally had a clock).

I also want to do this to my f4 i heard you can get the temp to work as long as you run the f4i temp sensor i think the only difficult thing to do is to retap the thread to fit the f4i sensor... does anyone have pics of the gauges installed... post them up.......

does anyone know if the 600 RR tach and speedo would work as well? I can get a better deal on an RR right now and was wondering if anyone knew if it was the same as a F4i speedo.

Alright I guess I will explain this in a little more detail. First of all you will need the f4i gauges and the piece of the wiring harness off a f4i that connects to the f4i gauges. You will need to cut you wiring harness below the gauges. Then you connect the wires from the f4i harness and guages to those of your cut wiring harness. The colors do not match up and there are extra wires, but if you are serious about doing this then I will give you to colors that match up!

sorry for the thread jack but I saw everyone taking apart their fronts, I need a left stock mirror screw, the hex wrench one, one of mine fell off when I was on the highway and now my mirror is dangling and looks like junk. please spare me a screw, lol not that kind!
