I replaced my Voltage Regulator/Rectifier on my 92 F2. Tried to start it and discovered my battery was dead....cooked from over charging.
So I bought a new battery, filled it with Electrolyte and when reading the instructions it says to charge it for 4.5 hours at 1 amp.
My charger is either 2 amps or 50 amps, it won't go down as low as 1 amp. Can I give the new battery an initial 2 amp charge?
