Has anyone ever tried to modify the guts of the stock muffler? I'm wondering if there's a way to repack or remove some of the baffles in the stock pipe to get the same affect as an aftermarket pipe.

Most people use a long drill bit.

Is it effective? Is it difficult? I've had to repack dirt bike mufflers, generally it was very simple.

It'll make it louder and less restrictive but the stock can is a brick -- chuck that heavy silencer and get a slip-on
