Hey, has anyone removed the factory stickers yet (Honda on the tank, CBR, 1000RR...)? I had planned on removing mine until I read the post about the "Clear Coat Caution". How in the hello do I know wether or not the stickers are clear coated to the tank? I want the stickers gone but don't want to make it ugly and in need of a body shop.

D-

There is no clear coat over the stickers on the new CBR.

I carefully peeled the stickers off the tank of my 06 without a problem.

Thanks, I was just logging on to delete this posting. I just removed the stickers w/ a little help from my wife's hair dryer and a little Goo Gone. Like you said it was easy to do.

Does the hair dryer and goo be gone work to take off tank pads... i want to put a new one on, but am afraid to do it. I have a 2005 CBR 1000.

Also, where do you get goo be gone. is that the brand?

thanks for the help guys.

You should be able to find Goo Gone at most any automotive store or check the old standby......WalMart. I just did a search and it looks like Office Depot sells it too.

There are other products out there as well. I know some people have said they use WD-40. I would spray some onto a rag first and then run on the tank, if you go that route. Good luck!
