DO NOT use armor all. if you put that on your tires, you'll be right on your a$$ once you turn. Use simple green, just make sure you dilute it thats some strong business

ORIGINAL: liljoec DO NOT PUT ANYTHING ON YOUR TIRES. Yeah I've heard of guys takin' spills cuz their tires got all slick. The most I'll do is probably wipe it down with water and some mild soap. If I do use that simple greens stuff, how do I use it? or should I stay away from the tires completely?

Just wipe them down with a rag and some water. There really isnt really any reason to use soap. And it's not a problem to do the wheels. Just make sure you wipe the edges of the tires down when you are done if you think any soap got on them.. As long as they are dull when they dry, then they should be good to go.

I recommend ProtectAll or Honda Polish after you wash the bike. I use ProtectAll and it's amazing stuff.

Thanks guys! I've heard a lot of people recommend the Honda Spray, even the bike shop guys, so I think I'll try that stuff out and let you all know.

I take a old bottle of Simple Green and rinse it out good and fill it half full with Meguiars car wash and the rest with water then i keep a clean sponge and i spray as i wash. The Simple Green (regular) will work without diluting it and it works great.

In the Corvette World of ($50K - $80K cars), which are also fiberglass & a whole lot like our motorcycle fairings, we use primarily one product supplier for ALL our cleaning & waxing needs. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc I'm using the same on my new 06 RR and the results are beyond fantastic!!! When I get in from a ride, I quickly spray down with the Zaino #Z6 Ultra Gloss Enhancer Spray. The shine is unreal!! The bugs & grime drop off. Zaino is one of those products that when you use it, you're rather stunned!! Then when you continue to use it, the shine & appearance just gets better and better. While it ain't cheap, I'm finding that on the bike (vs my Z06), because a little goes a long ways, you won't use much product at all!!! The Z7 Wash is the perfect washing substance for bikes too. Just did mine last evening. Now, I have to give you one tip that many will scratch their heads at, but just TRY IT!!! You will be amazed!!! Get some regular ole $0.50 cents a bottle rubbing alchohol. Mix it 50/50 in a spray bottle with regular tap water (you read that right!). Use this mix of alchohol / water on your windscreen, car windshield, and helmet visor & headlight lenses. The bugs & crap will come right off. Stuff dries IMMEDIATELY!! And with repeated use, it will form an awesome invisible shield that will have the water beading off like no bodies business!!! I can drive the Z06 in moderate rain & never have to use the wipers!! (Secret Info??? This is essentially what RainEx is!!) PS: We use this on our $50,000 jet windscreens too & I use it on my personal plane windshield too which aren't cheap, so no ill effects...I guarantee it!!! Enjoy!!!

Unlike many guys out there I HATE cleaning my bikes!!! I'd rather be riding. So, to keep my vtx and cbr looking good I wash with regular car wash in a bottle then while the bikes are wet I use Turtle Wax detailer. Clean and shiny!!!. I have quit using paste wax on all of my vehicles because of the white lines.
